Links, sorted
Web Assigner
Some links belong in Chrome, some in Firefox, some in a private tab. Web Assigner passes every link, instantly and invisibly, to the browser you chose: per app, per website, or with one tap.

What it does
The right browser, every time.
One tap to switch
A Quick Settings tile and a home-screen widget swap between up to four browsers.
Rules per app
Links tapped in Reddit open in Firefox, links from WhatsApp in Samsung Internet. Everything else follows the tile.
Rules per website
Your bank always in Chrome, news always private. A website rule wins over an app rule.
Clean links
Tracking tags are removed and redirect wrappers (Google, Facebook, Outlook Safe Links) unwrapped, on the phone.
Private tabs
Send links straight to a private tab in Firefox, Tor Browser, IronFox and other Firefox-based browsers.
Work hours
Switch to your work browser on weekdays from nine to five, by itself.
A better picker
When nothing decides, a small sheet asks, and can remember the answer.
Link tester
Paste a link and see where it would open, and why, before you rely on a rule.
On both your phones
Rules and browsers sync phone to phone or through a sealed file in your cloud.
How it works
Set it once, forget it.
Make it the default browser
Web Assigner never shows a window of its own: it only passes links on.
Pick your browsers
Browser A and B, or up to four, and add the tile to Quick Settings.
Add rules if you like
Per app, per website, private or not, and work hours.
Android and iPhone
Two phones, two different apps
On iPhone only real browsers may be the default, and iOS never tells an app where a link came from. So the iPhone version is a smaller, honest cousin: you send it links from the Share sheet, Control Center or Shortcuts.
| Feature | Android | iPhone |
|---|---|---|
| Handles every link by itself | Yes, as the default browser | Not possible on iPhone |
| Switch browser A ⇄ B | Quick Settings tile, widget | Control Center (in development) |
| Rules per app | Yes | Not possible on iPhone |
| Rules per website, clean links | Yes | Later |
| Private tabs (Firefox-based) | Yes | In development |
| Share sheet, Shortcuts, Siri | Not needed | In development |
Chrome and other Chromium browsers don't let other apps open incognito tabs, so private tabs work with Firefox-based browsers only.
Privacy
No internet permission.
Links pass through Web Assigner on your phone and go straight to your browser. They are never stored or kept as a history.
Paying
Pay what you want
Every app starts with 5 days with everything. After that you choose what feels fair: from €2 a year or €3 once, and every amount unlocks the same. No ads either way. Payments go through Google Play or the App Store.
